Pass Plus Course
The Pass Plus course is a scheme aimed at new drivers, although anyone with a full UK driving licence can take the course.
The course has been designed by the DVSA (Driver & Vehicle Licensing Agency), vehicle insurers and the driving instruction industry.
The purpose of the course is to help new drivers reach a safer and more competent level of driving (not all driving instructors offer the course).
The great thing is that because insurance companies recognise that drivers who complete Pass Plus are safer and more advanced, there's the chance to reduce the cost of car insurance.
The Pass Plus course is a series of modules that cover more advanced driving subjects - there's no test at the end, but you must complete the entire course to receive a certificate.
Pass Plus covers the following subjects:
- Town driving
- All Weather Driving
- Rural roads
- Night Driving
- Dual Carriageways
- Motorway Driving
